Pine Agritech expands capacity

PINE Agritech, a company that develops, produces and markets soybean-based health food and food ingredients, announced that it has completed the expansion of production capacity for two core products, soy oligosaccharide syrup (SOS) and soy protein isolates (SPI), in June 2006. The capacity expansion plans were originally expected to be completed in the second half of 2006 but rising demand prompted the management to complete the project earlier. As a result of the capacity expansion, Pine said it will remain one of the leading producers for soybean-based health food and food ingredients in China.
