Novena 2002 net profit doubles

FURNITURE group Novena Holdings said its full-year group net profit more than doubled to $904,000 - the result of acquisitions and aggressive marketing and promotion in the group's furniture division.

Turnover was up 28.7 per cent to $49.9 million, due mainly to contribution by the group's newest subsidiaries which are involved in retailing of beauty and personal care products.
