NASDAQ-listed Multi-Fineline Electronix (M-Flex) yesterday said that it would extend the deadline for meeting the preconditions of its offer for all the outstanding shares of MFS Technology. The deadline is extended from March 31 to June 30, 2007. M-Flex had tried to pull out of the deal, but Singapore regulators prevented it. In August last year, M-Flex's independent special committee of its board of directors withdrew its recommendation for the offer - and the committee continues to strongly recommend that M-Flex's shareholders vote against the offer, the company's announcement to the SGX said.
