FLEXIBLE printed circuit specialist MFS Technology said yesterday its
subsidiary MFS Singapore has received $50 million of follow-on orders from a
key customer.
'We are delighted with this win as it represents a substantial order compared with our turnover of $88.3 million last year,' said managing director Pang Tak Lim.
The contract is for the design and manufacture of flexible printed circuits
and related assembly for use in LCD display modules.
Mr Pang said the deal is a 'distinct sign of recovery in the second half of
the financial year'.
About $20 million of the order is expected to be fulfilled in the current
financial year ending in September. The balance will flow into the following
financial year.
MFS customers include the Motorola, Philips and Hewlett-Packard groups.
