Hyflux unit in firm building Algeria plant

HYFLUX'S wholly owned Spring Utility and Malaysia's Malakoff International will hold 51 per cent in a company that will design and build a US$238 million seawater desalination plant of 200,000 metre cube/day in Algeria for 25 years. The Algeria Energy Company, which awarded the project, will hold 49 per cent of the project. Out of the 51 per cent, Spring will hold 20 per cent and Malakoff the remaining 80 per cent.
