Hyflux unit wins tender for China wastewater treatment plant

HYFLUX Ltd said a consortium led by Hyflux Utility Ltd with a 95 per cent stake has won the tender for the Yangzhou Qingshan Wastewater Treatment Plant project. Hyflux Utility is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SinoSpring Utility Ltd, Hyflux's 50 per cent joint venture. The project involves a concession to build, own, operate and transfer a 20,000 cubic metre/day industrial wastewater treatment plant for 20 years. The total project cost is estimated at 70 million yuan (S$14 million).
