November
• Secured another RMB 291 million worth of water municipal projects in China and of total capacity of 120,000m³/day in Shandong and Jiangsu Provinces.
 
   

October
• Teamed up with Tao Commodity Trader, Inc., one of Philippines largest commercial industrial/marine distributors of fuel, to invest US$12 million to build a regional used oil recycling plant near Calacas, Batangas in the Philippines.

• Signed Joint Venture Agreement with Success Blossom Environment Vietnam Joint Stock Company to invest US$10.5 million to build a regional used oil recycling plant in Hanoi, Vietnam.

• Received Eligibility-To-List Letter from the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited, for Hyflux Water Trust (HWT), a business trust sponsored by Hyflux Ltd. HWT will be the first pure play global water trust to be listed on a securities exchange in Asia, focusing on investments in water-related infrastructure assets.

• Signed agreement with BP and Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics to jointly develop and commercialise the use of zeolite dewatering membranes in the production of biofuels.

• Secured seven water municipal projects in China worth a total of RMB 593 million and of total capacity 310,000m³/day in the Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Hebei Provinces and Tianjin City.

• Teamed up with Marmon Water LLC, one of world's largest manufacturers of residential and commercial water treatment systems, to set up a joint R&D Centre in Singapore and a manufacturing facility on consumer products in China. Hyflux and Marmon Water also entered into twenty-year licensing agreements which will allow Marmon Water and Hyflux to use certain of each other's technologies to complement each other's product offerings.

• Divested SingSpring Pte Ltd, owner of Singapore's first desalination plant, into CitySpring Infrastructure trust as part of Hyflux's asset-light strategy.


   
2006  

October
• Awarded a 25 year concession to build-own-operate a S$380 million seawater desalination plant, of capacity a 200,000 m³/day in Tlemcen, Algeria.

• Awarded a 25 year concession to operate a 80,000 m³/day wastewater treatment plant and a 40,000 m³/day water recycling plant in Langfang City, Hebei Province, China. Total project worth a total of S$30 million.

• Posted 65 percent increase in revenue to S$71.2 million for the first half ended June 30, 2006, with industrial sales more than doubled by 128 percent to S$46.6 million

• Obtained approval from Karnataka Udyog Mitra, to invest in developing a 15,000 m3/day high- grade industrial water plant at Hebbal, Bangalore.

• Signed US$138 million syndicated loan facility with DBS Bank, BNP Paribas Bank and 12 other international banks from China, India, Malaysia, Taiwan and Netherlands

• Held official opening of the 25 year Build-Own-Transfer Wastewater treatment Plant of capacity 30,000 m3/day, in Changshu City, Jiangsu for the Southeast Economic Development Zone

June
• Entered the oil and solvent recycling business, after the acquisition of 51 percent equity in SK Oilchem Management Pte Ltd, (a Singapore-incorporated private exempt company licensed to collect and process new and used oil in Singapore). Hyflux will invest up to S$70 million in supplying a proprietary membrane plant for used oil recovery. Investment return is expected to exceed 20 percent.

• Completed a US$20 million Loan Agreement with International Finance Corporation (IFC) where IFC will take a preferred equity interest in SinoSpring. (Hyflux's 50 percent owned company that invests in water projects in China)

• Secured another US$25 million loan from IFC to be disbursed towards the Group's 100,000 m3/day Dagang's Sewater Desalination Plant in Tianjin province.

• Awarded a 20-year concession to build, own, operate and transfer a RMB 70 million industrial wastewater treatment plant, of capacity 20,000 m3/day, for Yangzhou Chemical Industrial Park in Yangzhou city, Jiangsu province.

• Awarded a 30-year concession to design, construct, supply, finance, operate and maintain a RMB 55 million water clarification plant, of capacity 20,000 m3/day, to supply industrial water to the south development zone of Dafeng city, Jiangsu province.

• Awarded a 30-year concession to design, construct, supply, finance, operate and maintain a RMB 50 million plant, capable of treating 30,000 m3/day of wastewater and of producing 25,000 m3/day of recycled water for industrial use in Liaoyang city, Liaoning province.

• Awarded a 30-year concession to build, own, operate and transfer a RMB 70 million plant, of capacity 40,000 m3/day (expanded to 120,000 m3/day), to treat industrial and domestic wastewater from a high tech industrial park in Wujin and neighbouring districts, in Changzhou city, Jiangsu province.

April
• Obtained an exclusive license to manufacture Hyflux’s cutting edge ceramic hollow fibre membranes globally with the right to sell the membranes worldwide except Europe, after the acquisition of 51 percent equity in CEPAration B.V. - a spin off from leading Dutch technology institute, Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research, who specializes in the R&D, production and sales of ceramic membranes used in liquid and gas separation.

March
• Awarded a concession to build a S$11.3million water treatment plant of capacity 30,000 m3/day, expanded to 50,000m3/day to supply drinking water to Lushan country in Henan province.

• Reached substantial agreement on the terms of a proposed investment by International Finance Corporate. The commercial lending arm of the World Bank, to take a preferred equity preferred equity interest in SinoSpring of up to US$20 million. • Signed agreement with RB (Labuan) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary one of the largest Kuala Lumpur listed textile companies, Ramatex Berhard to invest in water treatment projects in China, mainly developed and built by Hyflux.

• Groundbreaking Ceremony of China's largest seawater desalination plant at Tianjin, Dagang.

September
• Official Opening Ceremony of Singapore's first desalination plant - The SingSpring Desalination Plant at Tuas.

August
• Awarded letter of acceptance by Nakheel LLC to expand scope of the construction of a 38,000 cubic metres a day seawater desalination plant (announced on 23 February 2005) to two seawater desalination plants each of 32,000 cubic metres of drinking water a day.

June
• Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Changchun Water Group Co., Ltd, to conduct a feasibility study for a $160 million wastewater treatment plant to be built or upgraded with water recycling capability in Changchun City.

• Signed Cooperative Agreement with The People's Government of the District of Dagang, Tianjin Municipality to build a 100, 000 m3/day seawater desalination plant, worth $155 million.

• Signed Memorandum of Understanding with Water Supply Group of Harbin City, China, to conduct a feasibility study for a $700 million Harbin Moopan Mountain Reservoir Water Supply Project, comprising of 450 000m3/day raw water treatment plant and a 450 000m3/day water purification plant.

April
• Transferred 50% of its stake in SingSpring which owns Singapore first seawater desalination plant, to Temasek Holdings for $30 million as part of divestment strategy, to focus on its core competencies in engineering, procurement and construction and membrane technology developments.

• Set up Joint Venture with Bejing Shouren Group to develop, manufacture and sell water treatment equipment and components, provide technical consultancy and support in water treatment technology and undertake water treatment engineering projects in Beijing, PRC.

• Clinched $3.6 million deal to design, build and supply two leachete treatment plants for Harbin City Environment Sanitation Management Bureau of Heilongjiang Province, PRC.

• Awarded $103 million deal to design, build and operate a 30,000 m3/day seawater desalination plant in Palm Jumeriah, Dubai and a 40,000 m3/day membrane bioreactor treatment plant for Dubai Metals & Commodities Centre
