UOB keeps to earlier forecasts for Hyflux
30 May 2005
The Straits Times
UOB Kay Hian
UOB Kay Hian is doubtful that Hyflux's 'membrane-based' technology will have a 'cost advantage' over more traditional technologies in treating fresh groundwater.
It made these observations in the wake of a memorandum of understanding signed by Hyflux recently to conduct a feasibility study on a project in China.
The Mopan Mountain Reservoir Water Supply Project aims to supply 450,000 cu m of water daily to Harbin city in northern China.
The brokerage is sticking to its forecast earnings of $70 million for FY05 and $40.2 million for FY06.
