Links' ex-chairman buys more HG Metal sharesJuly 26, 2004The Straits Times FORMER Links Island Holdings chairman Winstedt Chong bought another 248,000 shares in HG Metal Manufacturing last Wednesday at undisclosed prices. His open market acquisition follows the recent purchase on July 16 of 209,000 shares by his wife Cynthia Tan, who is a deputy managing director at Links Island. The purchase price of this earlier transaction was also not disclosed. The couple has been steadily amassing HG Metal shares over the past few months. Last week's purchase raised their stake in the firm to 7.76 per cent from 7.57 per cent previously.
