Ex-Links chairman buys HG sharesJune 28, 2004The Straits Times FORMER Links Island chairman Winstedt Chong Thim Pheng bought 500,000 shares in HG Metal Manufacturing on the open market on June 18 at 38.5 cents a share. This gave him a 0.38 per cent share in the steel stockist and distributor. Mr Chong bought an extra 580,000 shares for an undisclosed sum last Monday. His wife, Ms Cynthia Tan Kwee Hiang, became a substantial shareholder last month. The couple's combined stake is now 6.89 per cent.
