My one big wish

If you had to choose just one item from your Budget wish-list, the one you want most to hear announced in Parliament on Feb 15, what would it be? And why?

DROP personal income tax and corporate tax by 2 percentage points respectively. Since the hike in GST and CPF is quite standard, this means that there would be better revenues and people would have more savings in their CPF. The next step is to look after the business community. Although Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew had said that corporate tax will be reduced by at least one percentage point, I do wish that it can be reduced by 2 percentage point. Since GST is going to rise by 2 percentage points, a cut in corporate tax or even personal tax will make our country more competitive in the business arena.

If my wish can come true, my company will enjoy better profit margin and the shareholders will eventually enjoy better returns.
