What are organisations in Singapore, and within your industry in particular, doing to be more pro-family? What more needs to be done?

The most prominent pro-family practice would be the implementation of a five-day work week. Many companies have lucrative maternal benefits and some even provide childcare services for mothers. Another policy that some companies implement is organising a Family Day for their staff to encourage family bonding.

Perhaps companies could further improve by providing family counselling services to help staff with their family problems, or liaising with the various attractions to give discounts to staff and their families. Top management can arrange casual dinners with staff and their families to build rapport.
