Best World founders raise stake

BEST World International directors and substantial shareholders
have been buying up shares of the healthcare and lifestyle products
marketer. Executive chairman Doreen Tan and chief executive Dora
Hoan each bought 85,000 shares each at 23 cents apiece and another
15,000 shares each at 23.5 cents apiece on the open market yesterday.
The co-founders of Best World are each holding a 33.7 per cent stake
now, from 33.6 per cent previously. Meanwhile, Serial System executive
chairman Derek Goh Bak Heng continued his gradual accumulation of
Best World shares on Monday, buying 5,000 shares on the open market
at undisclosed prices. He now has a direct 6.772 per cent stake
in the company. The counter climbed 1.5 cents or 6.8 per cent to
23.5 cents yesterday.
